NATIONAL TOP WORKPLACES

Dallas-based Park Place Dealerships has been named one of America's Top Workplaces by Workforce Dynamics. Park Place was ranked #4 nationwide among 872 organizations with more than 1,000 employees that participated in regional top workplaces programs.

The Top Workplaces program accurately reflects the opinions of employees through measurement of engagement, organizational health and employee satisfaction. The survey is utilized year after year by human resource professionals nationwide as the gold standard in internal measurement of organizational health and employee satisfaction.

The survey uses a proprietary set of 22 questions to rank companies. The survey data showed that employees most want to work at companies with high levels of organizational health. Companies that set a clear direction for their future; execute well; and bring real meaning to work are the healthiest.

PARK PLACE DEALERSHIPS NAMED TO THE DMN TOP 100 PLACES TO WORK

Park Place Dealerships has been named among the "Top 100 Places to Work" by the Dallas Morning News for the seventh consecutive year. Park Place Dealerships also ranked in the top 10 in the large company category for corporations in Dallas/Fort Worth and number 1 for the best company for training.

Park Place Dealerships was selected based on an independent survey of Park Place's employees, conducted anonymously by The Dallas Morning News' research partner. The DMN "Top 100 Places to Work" list was compiled from a survey sent to Park Place's employees soliciting their opinions on six areas of the workplace including direction, execution, pay and benefits, career opportunities, workplace conditions and managers. In order to qualify, at least 35-percent of a company's employees must respond to the survey. This year, the firm surveyed 276 companies and analyzed responses from 72, 285 employees.

Feedback from Park Place's employees included comments such as: "My job always keeps me on my toes, and I love that;" and "Park Place actually does everything they say they're going to do and more;" and "Park Place Dealerships has the confidence in me to do my job well and do what's right for our clients."

QUALITY AND PERFORMANCE

President George W. Bush and Commerce Secretary Carlos Gutierrez announced six organizations as recipients of the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award, the nation's highest Presidential honor for quality and organizational performance excellence.

This is the first time that an automotive dealership has been named as a Baldrige Award recipient. "President Bush and I proudly announce these organizations as recipients of the prestigious Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award," said Commerce Secretary Carlos Gutierrez. "By pursuing excellence in every aspect of their operations, the men and women of these innovative, high-performing organizations have proven ready to meet the competitive challenges of the future. The recipients of the Baldrige Award provide inspiration for all U.S. organizations in their quest for excellence," he said. The Baldrige Award recipients were selected from among 64 applicants. All six recipients were evaluated rigorously by an independent board of examiners in seven areas: leadership; strategic planning; customer and market focus; measurement, analysis and knowledge management; human resource focus; process management; and results. The evaluation process included about 1,000 hours of review and an on-site visit by teams of examiners to clarify questions and verify information in the applications.

This recognition is significant to the award recipients because they understand the rigor and objectivity of the Baldrige Award evaluation. "Each step of the award process is structured to continually refine the board of examiners depth of knowledge and understanding of the applicants' performance excellence system, ensuring that only the most outstanding applicants are recognized, and that all applicants receive objective feedback for improvement," said Roy Bauer, chair of the Baldrige Award panel of judges and president and chief operating officer, Pemstar Inc. Named after the 26th Secretary of Commerce, the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award was established by Congress in 1987 to enhance the competitiveness and performance of U.S. businesses and expanded in 1998 to include education and health care. The award promotes excellence in organizational performance, recognizes the quality and performance achievements of U.S. organizations, and publicizes successful performance strategies. The award may be presented to five types of organizations: manufacturers, service companies, small businesses, education organizations, and health care organizations.

The award is not given for specific products or services. The Baldrige program is managed by NIST in conjunction with the private sector. As a non-regulatory agency of the U.S. Department of Commerce's Technology Administration, NIST promotes U.S. innovation and industrial competitiveness by advancing measurement science, standards and technology in ways that enhance economic security and improve our quality of life.

AUTOMOTIVE NEWS BEST DEALERSHIP

Park Place Jaguar won the top ranking in the first Automotive News' list of the "100 Best Dealerships To Work For." The 100 dealerships were selected by the Best Companies Group, which screened extensive surveys filled out by U.S. and Canadian stores that applied for the distinction. 

#1 MARQUE OF DISTINCTION FOR PRIDE OF JAGUAR

Jaguar Land Rover Training Academy honored three Park Place Jaguar Plano employees with their highest award: the Marque of Distinction. This honor is granted annually to one Parts Manager, Parts Professional, Sales Manager, Sales Consultant, Sales Guide, Service Manager, Service Advisor and Technician from each Jaguar and Land Rover brand. The top eight members from each category were chosen to travel to London, England, where the winners were each presented a trophy by Jaguar Land Rover North America President/CEO Joachim "Joe" Eberhardt.

Honor for entrepreneurial spirit, commitment to customer excellence

Park Place Porsche Dallas has been selected as a 2020 Porsche Premier Dealer by Porsche Cars North America. This honor, awarded to only 25 of the German car manufacturer's nearly 200 U.S. dealerships, recognizes dealers who consistently go above and beyond Porsche's high-quality standards and demonstrate a real passion for the brand and its customers. Park Place Porsche has received this honor now nearly every year it has been available. In doing so, Porsche Cars North America is recognized as the most consistently winning Porsche dealer in North America.

Porsche developed the Porsche Premier Dealer Program to recognize the top 25 Porsche dealerships in the U.S. To be considered for this prestigious award, a dealership must demonstrate their ability to meet and then exceed Porsche's incredibly high standards. Along with meeting these standards, the dealership must also be able to show their ability to embrace the established Porsche Business Model.

The Porsche Business Model requires a dealership to demonstrate that they have met higher standards of performance than all other Porsche dealerships in the United States. These standards include, but are not limited to, overall brand utilization, development of specific "key Porsche business drivers," and product representation.

In essence, the Porsche dealerships must continually go above and beyond the baseline standards established by legendary automaker Porsche to receive the award. In simple terms, the dealerships chosen must live and breathe Porsche in every possible way.

Park Place Porsche will join its 24 fellow honorees for a Premier Dealer event trip and awards ceremony later this year.
